Propelled by the extraordinary piano playing and arranging skills of Luíz Eça, Tamba Trio are characterized by their very original and highly attractive blending of left field Bossa grooves and almost sacred vocal harmonies.

Our programme concentrates on the years between 1962-66 and finds the group at an eclectic axis of classical music, Bossa and Jazz and finding a brilliantly original vocabulary. An important landmark in the evolution of modern Brazilian music and far ahead of its time. Tamba Trio were the greatest Bossa Nova group: an institution in Brazil and now becoming better known internationally
