›› NEW DELAY 68 RELEASE -
DON COOPER 'HOWLIN' AT THE MOON'!

When you pick out a Don Cooper LP he really does look the part. Sat by a lake, on a hill at sunset or in the middle of a forest. Acoustic guitar wielding and suede-tunic wearing, Don is Folk before you've even dropped the needle on the record or read the sleevenotes.

Demoted to the bargain bins of yesteryear along with the vast and endless stream of obscure mid-American rock and folk records by unfamiliar artists who, for one unfathomable reason or another, never quite made it big in the music business, Don Cooper's original blue-grass and folk revival influences, coupled with a vivid imagination and a veritable poetic palette carve his name into the bark of folk-rock's branchy tree.

Compiled by Andy Votel (Twisted Nerve) and Chris McBride (45 Kings), 'Howlin' At The Moon: A Best Of' is out soon, and can be pre-ordered here.

›› WELSH RARE BEAT COMPILATION ON FINDERS KEEPERS

Andy Votel and Dom Thomas discovered Welsh music by mistake... (so did Cherrystones, Lee Brady and Doug Shipton). Gruff Rhys (from Super Furry Animals) has never been able to escape from it. Over the past 12 months we have attempted to listen to every Welsh rare record ever made looking for the 'perfect beat' on your behalf... so that's why we have called the first of our new Welsh music compilations (to coin a John McCready phrase) "WELSH - RARE - BEAT".

Compiled by Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals), Andy Votel and Dominic Thomas, 'Welsh Rare Beat' is out in August. Pre-order your copy now from Finders Keepers Records.

›› DELAY 68 RECORDS LAUNCHES WITH
   NEW ANDY VOTEL COMPILATION!

Folk-Funk? Electric Folk? Hippy-Rock? Acid Folk? Sunshine-Pop? Folk-Fusion? Folksploitation? Once again music lovers struggle to bridge the deep & wide gully where another hybrid genre wanders lonely amongst the vinyl ghosts of yesteryear's ethereal love songs.

Let us introduce a flock of unsung songbirds who flutter between rocks and hardened pastures too commercial to be traditional - not successful enough to be credible - from the wrong side of town - on the other side of the globe.

Here are some of the would-be folk legends that you didn't read about, they never played the festivals and you never heard their records... until today.
