Nick Robinson
Books
Re-reading of the Dark Materials trilogy by Philp Pullman in rpeparation for
the new film.
CDs
David Torn : Prezens - he continues to innovate and inspire
Wishbone Ash - Argus remastered - a teenage favourite that has worn exceedingly
well over the last 30 years.
Korla Pandit - The Grand Moghul Suite. An extraordinary story and music that
really captures the era it was made in.
Films
Golden Compass - quite a decent rendition of the book, good and dark. Spoilt
slightly by Gandalf's over-familiar voice as Iorek Byrnison, the bear.
Gigs
Black Sabbath : Sheffield Arena. Managed to blag a free ticket, so hauled my
ass down for some nostalgia. They went through the numbers OK, but it was disappointing
overall.
Sporting events
Despite Lewis Hamilton's near miss, he's done more than anyone could have
hoped for. Finally, a Brit who isn't ashamed to compete and win. |
