Matt Bristow
Books
The Dark Stuff - Nick Kent - one of the greatest music writers
of the last 35 years, this is a collection of Kent's interview with the weird
and wonderful of the rock world - intoxicating and emotional, well worth the
read.
CD's
The Loungs - We Are The Champ - a superb debut, if you like the
kind of trippy folk that the likes of The Bees churn out then this one is for
you.
Films
Elizabethtown - this got a bit of a mauling by the press, but I quite
enjoyed it.
Gigs
Live Earth, Wembley - a mix of the sublime (Foo Fighters, Chilli Peppers,
Kasabian) and the ridiculous (Pussycat Dolls, Black Eyed Peas) - but an enjoyable
day never the less.
Sports
England at the rugby world cup - what a transformation, ultimate
disappointment but fantastic to beat the Aussies!
