You've Gotta Hand It To 'Em: The Very Best Of… cdmred308Cherry Red Records are pleased to announce the release of the recorded works from one of the Manchester scene's greatest secrets of the mid-80's, The Waltones. The Waltones played their first proper gig in Manchester, September 1984. Their main influences were Dexy's Midnight Runners, Orange Juice and the Beatles - the fab four in this instance being James Knox, Mark Collins (Charlatans), Manny Lee and Alex Fyans. Their time was short but the tunes gathered on this CD are a collection of guitar pop gems that include a full album, singles, b-sides, rarities and previously unreleased tracks. The Waltones guitarist Mark Collins went on to find fame with the Charlatans, with whom he is still a member of to this day. As always beautifully restored and repackaged as is the Cherry Red Records style.
