Live At The Hacienda crdvd61 The first ever DVD to feature Spear Of Destiny, one of the most vehement and powerful acts of the early 1980's, "Live At The Hacienda" features the band at the height of their powers, playing a full live set at Manchester's world famous Hacienda club in 1983.Spear were formed by frontman Kirk Brandon from the ashes of his previous band Theatre Of Hate. The band soon signed to CBS Records and released the seminal album "The Grapes Of Wrath" in 1983. Brandon gained a reputation as a sharp social and political commentator, and the band split critical opinion between devotion and hate. A loyal fanbase was transferred from the Theatre Of Hate days. The band split in the early 1990's following six albums and a major tour with U2, but have recently reformed and are now touring the world and recording again. Amongst the tracks featured are the band's first single "The Flying Scotsman" and UK chart hit "The Wheel".
