When, in 1982, The Clash's Mick Jones and Joe Strummer fell out over some major artistic differences an entire generation shed tears for what amounted to the demise of one of Britain's truly legendary punk-rock bands.Ironically it was the very root of that disagreement - Jones' desire to explore and experiment with other musical forms - that became his phoenix. By 1984 he had teamed up with 'Sandinista' session man and cult video/film maker Don Letts, bassist Leo Williams, drummer Greg Roberts and keyboard player Dan Donovan and between them had given birth to Big Audio Dynamite. Their debut Album 'This Is Big Audio Dynamite' transcended anything Jones had done previously; indeed it transcended most popular music of the time full-stop, and is regarded as one of the most innovative and influential albums ever released. Combining rock, reggae, hip-hop, beatbox rhythms and hi-tech samples, it pre-empted the dance revolution and set a new standard in music production values. Shot in 1990 at London, England's world famous Town and Country Club, this DVD features a sell-out concert by B.A.D.II.
