Art Objects : Bagpipe Music
Bagpipe Music
cdmred316

Bagpipe Music - an album first released in 1981 to high critical acclaim from artists hailed as the "worlds first poetry dance band". The Art Objects. The brainchild of Bristol poet Gerard Langley and the pre-cursor to his current band The Blue Aeroplanes, this album was the first time poetry and music had been uniquely fused together in such a way that even John Cooper Clark would envy.

A collection of "brilliant images and stunning sounds that nothing else comes close to" yelled the music press. Even Radio One woke up and offered daytime airplay to the single "Showing off to Impress the Girls". The Art Objects had arrived, four of Bristols' finest musicians providing the perfect backdrop for Gerards' words - words that speak for themselves, but only if you're prepared to listen - and now you can, this time on CD for the first time, with four extra previously unreleased tracks.
