Andy Blade's band Eater courted controversy right from the start. From stealing their equipment from a Hi-Fi Shop so they could begin rehearsing, to having a drummer who was only 14 year old, and then hanging out at clubs whose minimum age was 18, they were always going to be talked about. Andy's book 'The Secret Life of a Teenage Punk Rocker'(ISBN 1-901447-50-3) focuses on those early days when Eater were playing with The Clash, The Dammed, The Buzzcocks and many others. There are many hilarious stories of Andy's sexual exploits, and all the controversial and influential characters he met along the way. It is a must read for anyone who was actually around at that time, or would have like to have been. To co-inside with this book we are also releasing (on Cherry Red Records) A solo album by Andy called 'Treasure Here' (CDBRED 278) It is Andy's fist solo project for many years and also contains a spoken work track where he reads extracts from the book.
