Leggy Mambo - Cud

Leggy Mambo
Following the release of their debut When In Rome, Kill Me and 1990'sElvis Belt compilation (CDMRED355), Leeds Indie heroes CUD set to work on their next album for Imaginary Records. Recorded during the Summer of 1990, Leggy Mambo proved to be a step in all the right directions, cementing the sound developed over their previous releases and capitalising on the bands pop sensibilities to provide their most immediately accessible collection of songs to date. Produced by XTC'sDave Gregory and released in October 1990, the album spawned the well-received singles Robinson Crusoe and Magic (both of which might have achieved greater success had they been released on a larger label) and generated a huge amount of industry interest, eventually leading to their signing with A & M the following year. This Cherry Red Gold Top Copy version of the album features the newly re-mastered original disc, as well as a collection of demos and alternate versions, all of which have been hand picked by the band themselves.

Postcard C.V.
Released on 24/05/10. A reissue of Senseless Things' seminal and debut album Postcard C.V. This 17 track CD, features the ten original tracks of the album plus seven bonus tracks. Originally released in November 1989 on Way Cool Records, a music hack noted "As hectic and reckless as one of their insomnia-defying tours, Senseless Things' debut album vibrates with almost insane enthusiasm." Senseless Things hail from South West London, who via a performance at the now demolished Clarendon in Hammersmith, an appearance on a 7" giveaway by Sniffin' Rock fanzine and two John Peel sessions found themselves recording 3 albums on Epic Records. The band's initial speedy modern punk was to give way to more varied and thoughtful (with an edge) material. Our Price: £9.95

Heart On Your Sleeve - A Decade In Pop 1983-1993 2CD
The Brilliant Corners might just have been the best band out of Bristol during the 1980s.
Taking their name from a Thelonious Monk jazz album, they issued ten singles, five albums and various compilations between 1983 and 1993. Many of them made the Indie Chart, from early efforts with hints of psychobilly and The Cramps to more melodic, C86-flavoured tracks (think The Smiths and The Housemartins) and later tracks with a hint of shoegazer and baggy about them.
In Davey Woodward, The Brilliant Corners were fronted by a handsome, charismatic singer who was also a talented songwriter – and Davey’s cooperated with this long-overdue anthology, helping with the track listing and supplying the entertaining sleeve-notes.
HEART ON YOUR SLEEVE is the most authoritative Brilliant Corners collection to date, boasting all their singles on the SS20 and McQueen labels plus numerous tracks which have never before been on CD and a handful of previously unissued demos and live tracks.

Release date: 18/02/2013

Dos Dedos Mis Amigos/A Lick of the Old Cassette Box
By 1994, Pop Will Eat Itself had developed from indie dancefloor friendly rock rappers into an angry, proto industrial machine. Signed to a new independent label, Infectious Records, they continued their steady stream of hit singles ('Ich Bin Ein Auslander', 'RSVP', 'Everything's Cool') and began to make serious inroads in America, thanks to their association with Trent Reznor and his Nothing label.

'Dos Dedos Mis Amigos' charted around Europe and in the US, and saw the band's profile rise considerably. The tracks also spawned a successful double album of remixes, 'Two Fingers My Friends', in 1995 and a follow up album was hotly anticipated. However, after the departure of Graham Crabb the band gradually imploded, leaving a new album's worth of recordings unreleased. Until now.

Produced in conjunction with the band, 'A Lick Of The Old Cassette Box' compiles twelve unreleased songs recorded in 1995 and 1996, and heard here for the very first time. Heavy on riffs and beats, this is the blueprint for the industrial crossover sound The Prodigy were about to fill stadiums around the world with in the late 1990s. Accompanied by detailed liner notes from guitarist Adam Mole, this 'lost' album is a must hear for diehards and casual fans alike.

  • Remastered and expanded
  • Contains three UK hit singles, demos and selected b-sides and remixes.
  • Also contains an entire unreleased album
  • Detailed essey and liner notes from guitarist Adam Mole
  • Produced in conjunction with the band, including edits and track sequencing by Clint
