Back in the mid-80s, The Primitives combined the fuzz guitars of The Jesus & Mary Chain with the pop sensibilities of Blondie and a nod to cult heroes The Velvet Underground. They swiftly rose from being a popular Indie guitar outfit to charting worldwide with "Crash”, kickstarting a craze in bands fronted by blonde female singers (Transvision Vamp, The Darling Buds et al).
Between 1985 and 1987, the band issued five singles/EP’s on independent label Lazy Records (also home to My Bloody Valentine and later Birdland) before signing with RCA.
Everything’s Shining Bright is named after their planned Lazy Records album, which was abandoned when the band left the label – indeed, seven of the ten previously unissued tracks here stem from those scotched LP sessions. Also unearthed is the band’s very first demo from 1985, consisting of three tracks including a dry-run through their eventual hit "Crash”.
This 2-CD set also boasts their promo-only live album at the ICA; as such, it offers their entire Lazy output from that period.
Those Lazy singles in full:
Thru The Flowers (May 1986) Indie No.20
Really Stupid (October 1986) Indie No.3
Stop Killing Me (February 1987) Indie No.2
Thru The Flowers (New Version - August 1987) Indie No.3
Ocean Blue (gig freebie 7”)
Compiled with guitarist PJ Court, this 2-CD compilation boasts re-mastered music as well as a beautifully annotated booklet boasting rare photos and personal memories from the band.

Ferment
Released on 22/03/10. Their epic debut single for Font Black Metallic brought them attention and praise from the press and fans alike. It also became their biggest hit in the States making the top ten in the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and is still name checked now as indie classic of the early 90's. The band followed this with two more singles, Balloon and I Want To Touch You before releasing their debut album Ferment in mid-1992. The album was produced by Talk Talk's Tim Friese-Greene who continued to produce and help them before they split in 2000. This long overdue and welcome reissue includes newly written sleeve notes by journalist and early champion of the band, Jack Rabid from Big Takeover magazine and 6 additional bonus tracks chosen by the band. These being the limited edition 2,000 only pressing of the 30 Century Man E.P., the non-album single Balloon and live fan favourite Intravenous which fans have been trying to get hold of for years. The band went on to release four more albums before calling it a day. Rob Dickinson has since released a solo album for Universal, Fresh Wine For The Horse, while Neil Sims and Brian Futter went on to form 50ft Monster. Our Price: £9.95

13 Years In Noises
The definitive "story so far" compilation from this amazing, constantly evolving and much admired group reads as follows. Formed in the aftermath of the Velvet Revolution, The Ecstasy Of St. Theresa released the first ever Czech indie records, quickly getting the attention of John Peel, and recording what became a legendary session for his Radio 1 show. Released commercially as an EP, it topped the CMJ chart, and got to number 6 in the UK indie charts when this meant something! The group quickly moved beyond this essentially shoe-gazing style to explore many soundscapes; film soundtracks, remixes. the whole thing! Here for the first time, the complete story of this seminal group, from their classic Peel session via their film soundtrack (including "For This Moment" from the platinum soundtrack to the film "Loners") work to their latest project, a collaboration with British Sea Power "It's A Lovely Day Tomorrow" - otherwise available outside the Czech Republic only at British Sea Power shows, but on here EXCLUSIVELY providing a fitting close to chapter one of the Ecstasy Of St. Theresa. As the Czech Republic bravely enters the EU, Rev-Ola presents another chance to hear the story from the start. Our Price: £9.95

Best Seat In The House - A Cock Sparrer Story
Cock Sparrer are widely considered to be one of the most influential streetpunk bands in history, and helped pave the way for the late-1970s punk scene and the significant Oi! subgenre. After battling through the 1970s and 1980s, the 1990s’ punk revival saw them rediscovered by hordes of fans old and new and, as a result, they now enjoy huge success as a live attraction, particularly in the UK and Europe, and find themselves headlining festival bills and performing their own shows to large ecstatic crowds all over the western world.

Best Seat In The House tells the band’s story from the perspective of drummer and driving force, Steve Bruce. From their beginnings in London’s East End, through the mid seventies’ punk boom, Malcolm McLaren’s attempts to mould them prior to his adventures with The Sex Pistols and entanglements with Carrere Records, into the eighties and the reality of civvy street, and on into the nineties and beyond, a period which sees them as surprised as anybody to find themselves touring the world, releasing new material and enjoying the respect and love of the punk and Oi! community.

The book is packed with photographs, memorabilia, tales and anecdotes – a must for any fan. Its initial run will feature a numbered limited edition of one thousand copies, with advance mail order buyers being named in a special section at the back of the book. In Steve Bruce’s own words: "I'm 54 years old and am a founder member of the band that was to become Cock Sparrer, which we formed at school in the year 1972. The four original members are still together as friends and a band today. We’ve never been on "Top of the Pops", but these days we seem to be Top of the Bill”.

Indie Hits 1980 - 1989
Indie Hits is the first and only complete guide to the first decade of Britain's Independent records chart, and to the acts, the music and the labels which made up the Indie scene of the 1980's. The book is set out in a similar format to the Guinness Hit Singles and Albums books, with every artist, single and album to have shown in the indie charts over the 10 year period being detailed. The first Independent charts were published by the trade paper Record Business in January 1980, by which time they were well overdue. By that time, Mute Graduate, Factory, Crass, Safari and Rough Trade were just a few of the new breed of rapidly expanding labels already scoring hit records. They were producing acts like Depeche Mode, UB40, Toyah, The Cult, Joy Division and Stiff Little Fingers, all to become major international sellers. Later years brought the likes of the Smiths, New Order, Erasure, The Stone Roses, James, The Fall and Happy Mondays (not to mention Kylie and Jason!) - all successful and influential independently -distributed hitmakers. The A-Z section details every chartmaking 1980s indie act and all hit records in a detailed but easy to reference format. Also included are complete indexes of single and album titles, an authoritative history of the origin and development of the Indie charts during the 1980's, listings of all No 1 singles and albums with illustrations of rare original sleeves, print ads and other memorabilia of the period plus a fax 'n' trivia section including the artists and labels with the most chart records, the most No 1's and the longest chart stays. If it was in the indie charts of the 1980's - It's in here! Our Price: £16.49
