Unplugged - Live - Mcauley Schenker Group

Unplugged - Live
After making his debut at a mere 17 years on the Scorpions first LP in 1972, guitar wunderkind and mad axe-man Michael Schenker spent five years as lead guitarist with Brit hard rockers UFO, before forming the Michael Schenker Group (MSG for short) with singer Gary Barden in 1979. With four studio albums and two live records under his belt, released between 1980 and 1984, he returned in 1987 for the "Perfect Timing” album, now with former Grand Prix singer Robin McAuley, with a change of name to the McAuley Schenker Group, but still conveniently shortened to MSG.
This new look MSG recorded a total of four albums, the last of which was "Unplugged Live” (1992). As well as key McAuley Schenker songs, recorded live in Los Angeles in 1992, the album features three UFO classics; ‘Natural Thing’, ‘Doctor Doctor’ and ‘Lights Out’. The bonus tracks are unique acoustic studio versions of ‘Anytime’, ‘We Believe In Love’, ‘What Happens To Me’ and ‘Bad Boys’, all taken from the "unplugged in the studio” Japanese only mini-album "Nightmare: The Acoustic MSG”.
The set features a 16 page booklet with a new essay from Classic Rock’s Malcolm Dome based on new interviews with Michael Schenker and Robin McAuley, conducted especially for this release.

Medusa
Field gte not in Database

A truly Classic Rock album that has stood the test of time. A blend of classic blues based rock music fused with soul, funk and occasional heavier elements it marks the crowning glory of Trapeze. Recorded in 1970 just as the band changed from being a five piece to becoming a power trio , with Glenn Hughes , Mel Galley , Dave Holland. With hindsight you could say rather like one of their influences Cream, Trapeze were something of a budding super group with Hughes later joining Deep Purple , Galley joining Whitesnake and Holland joining Judas Priest. Medusa the album was written by the band members and produced by John Lodge, of the Moody Blues, and released on the Moodies own Threshold label. They toured the world with it, and on occasion even had John Bonham sit in when they played his favourite song Jury.

You are the Music - we're just the band
From Wolverhampton, Trapeze formed in 1968 and were one of several acts signed to Moody Blues label Threshold Records. Originally a five piece, after the release of their eponymous first album John Jones (vocal) and Terry Rowley (guitar) were dropped from the line up, leaving Glen Hughes (vocals and bass - who went on to join Deep Purple as a replacement for Roger Glover in late 1973.), Dave Holland (drums, percussion) and Mel Galley (guitar). It was this new line up that went on to record "You Are The Music. We're Just The Band" in 1972, Trapeze's third album. This is classic 70s funk rock at its best. With original artwork and photos by Fin Costello this is a must for all rock and Deep Purple fans! Our Price: £9.95

Not Fragile / Four Wheel Drive
Bachman–Turner Overdrive are a Canadian rock group from Canada, that had a series of hit albums and singles in the 1970s, selling over 7 million albums in that decade alone. Their 1970s catalogue included five Top 40 albums and six Top 40 singles. The band has sold nearly 30 million albums worldwide, Many of their songs, including ‘Let It Ride’, ‘You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet’, ‘Takin' Care of Business’, ‘Hey You’ and ‘Roll On Down the Highway’ still receive play on FM classic rock stations.

Not Fragile is the bands third album and was released in 1974. The title is thought to be a response to Yes' Fragile. The style has been described as a cross between Mountain and early ZZ Top. The arrival of Blair Thornton (replacing Tim Bachman) gave the band a true second lead guitar to pair with Randy Bachman, and dual-guitar solos are prominent features. It proved to be the group's most popular album, and is the only BTO album to have reached #1 on the US Pop Album charts. ‘Roll On Down The Highway’ and ‘You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet’ were hit singles.
