Perfect Timing - Mcauley Schenker Group

Perfect Timing
After making his debut at a mere 17 years of age on the Scorpions first album in 1972, mad axe-man and guitar maestro Michael Schenker spent five years as lead guitarist with Brit rockers UFO, before forming the Michael Schenker Group (MSG for short) with singer Gary Barden in 1979. After four studio albums and two live records, released on Chrysalis between 1980 and 1984, Michael returned in 1987 for the "Perfect Timing” album, but now fronted by former Grand Prix and Far Corporation singer Robin McAuley, with a change of name to the McAuley Schenker Group, but still conveniently shortened to MSG.
The new look MSG recorded a total of four albums, starting withthe melodic "Perfect Timing” (1987), "Save Yourself” (1989), "M.S.G.” (1992) and finally with "Unplugged – Live” (1992).
"Perfect Timing” from 1987 features three singles; ‘Love Is Not A Game’, ‘Follow The Night’ and the US Hot 100 Hit ‘Gimme Your Love’. The set features an expanded 16 page booklet with period memorabilia and rare photos, plus a new essay from Classic Rock’s Malcolm Dome based on brand new interviews with Michael Schenker and Robin McAuley, conducted in 2012 especially for this release.

Medusa
Field gte not in Database

A truly Classic Rock album that has stood the test of time. A blend of classic blues based rock music fused with soul, funk and occasional heavier elements it marks the crowning glory of Trapeze. Recorded in 1970 just as the band changed from being a five piece to becoming a power trio , with Glenn Hughes , Mel Galley , Dave Holland. With hindsight you could say rather like one of their influences Cream, Trapeze were something of a budding super group with Hughes later joining Deep Purple , Galley joining Whitesnake and Holland joining Judas Priest. Medusa the album was written by the band members and produced by John Lodge, of the Moody Blues, and released on the Moodies own Threshold label. They toured the world with it, and on occasion even had John Bonham sit in when they played his favourite song Jury.

A Curious Feeling (CD ONLY)
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE SINGLE CD VERSION OF 'A CURIOUS FEELING' THE DVD PACKAGE IS NOW SOLD OUT.

Esoteric Recordings are proud to announce the release of 30th Anniversary editions of the album “A Curious Feeling” by Genesis founder member and keyboard player Tony Banks on Monday October 19th 2009. This classic album, inspired by the novel “Flowers for Algernon” by Daniel Keyes, was first released in October 1979 by Charisma Records. Recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm, whilst Genesis were on a brief hiatus following the “And Then There Were Three” tour, this majestic work featured contributions from drummer Chester Thompson (a member of GENESIS for concert appearances) and vocalist Kim Beacon. Stylistically the album is equal to anything Banks composed for Genesis and includes the evocative instrumental “The Waters of Lethe” and the song “For a While” (released as a single in 1979 and issued as a Download single via iTunes on October 19th) among its highlights. Significantly, this new edition of “A Curious Feeling” has been remixed from the original master tapes by Nick Davis (who also remixed the entire Genesis catalogue in 2007) and Tony Banks, resulting in a more dynamic sounding album. In addition, a new 5.1 Surround Sound mix was prepared which was included on a Limited 2 Disc Deluxe Edition of “A Curious Feeling”, along with the rare promotional videos of “For a While” and “The Waters of Lethe” made in 1979, this is now unavailable. A top thirty hit album upon its release, these editions of “A Curious Feeling” are the definitive statements on this classic album.
