Keep Your Distance
A long overdue reissue of the 1987 #1 debut album by Curiosity Killed The Cat. It's an essential album for all collectors of 80's pop.

This 16 track CD, features the 9 tracks of the original album, 4 extended 12" mixes from the single releases that were included on a subsequent reissue of the album plus 3 bonus tracks to make this a very comprehensive collection of the band's most successful material. The album was a number 1 UK album in 1987 and remained on the charts for 24 weeks.
This collection features 4 hit singles including Down To Earth #3, Misfit #7, Ordinary Day #11 and Free #54. The 3 bonus tracks featured are b/sides Man, Corruption
(Dub) available on CD for the first time and Bullet.
A comprehensive booklet featuring sleeve notes and a full UK discography featuring many of their sleeves. Curiosity Killed The Cat fronted by the charismatic Ben Volpeliere-Pierrot enjoyed their first hit with Down To Earth in December of 1986. With their James Dean looks, vibrant
street energy and cutting edge soul pop sound it seemed for a while as if Curiosity Killed the Cat may have possessed, a perfect recipe for success in the late eighties pop market.

Initially the band were labelled as a boy band but this ignores the band's undoubted musical backbone and talent. Hit singles were to follow as were two successful albums, their musical and commercial high point being their debut album and the focus of this reissue Keep Your Distance.

The Wrong People
Furniture formed in Ealing, West London, 1979 by Jim Irvin, Tim Whelan and Hamilton Lee. They built up a strong following in and around London before bolstering their line up to include Sally Still and Maya Gilda. They released several independent singles through Survival Records before signing to Stiff Records in 1986. Best know for their 1986 single ‘Brilliant Mind' which has since featured on many compilations over the years. At the time of the ‘The Wrong People's' release Stiff Records went into liquidation with only having manufactured 30,000 vinyl copies and no CD. This vinyl has become a cult classic and very sought after over the years. The band eventually called it a day in 1992 with the various members going on to other projects. Jim Irvin fronted a keyboard/voice duo called ‘Because' before turning his hand to journalism, currently writing for Mojo. Tim and Hami formed Transglobal Underground who still record and tour today. This long overdue and debut CD release adds an additional nine bonus tracks. Pulling together b-sides and extended versions from their two singles off the album along with two unreleased demos from the bands own archive. Our Price: £9.95

Dreams Interrupted
Glaxo Babies were the fore-runners of a wave of Bristol music that spawned The Pop Group, Rip Rig & Panic, Maximum Joy & Pigbag, who all became household names as the jagged edged angst movement quickly gathered respect throughout the world. A firm favourite with John Peel, the Glaxo's soon notched up their first session following on from the highly acclaimed first release - the 12" This your Life EP which included the classic "Who Killed Bruce Lee". Always underrated but never dismissed, they fought back with the blistering Christine Keeler 45 often sighted as the bands finest moment. This collection spans their career, illustrating just how unique and original the Glaxos were, and how their relevance seems ever present with today's jagged edged sounds. Our Price: £9.95

World Of Rubber
Released 16/03/09. Second Layer featured Adrian Borland and Graham Bailey, founding members of The Sound . They pioneered the use of drum machines and mixed machine based soundscape with more human elements created a sound ahead of its time. After releasing a couple of singles in 1979 and 1980 they released World of Rubber on Cherry Red in 1981. A beautiful, hard and emotional record. It contained many of the same elements as The Sound , not much of a surprise considering the line up, but the machine element gives it a very different sound. The Album has never been on CD and the vinyl is very hard to track down. Bonus Track Skylon previously unavailable Our Price: £9.95

If Wishes Were Horses
Released on 18/01/10. Blueboy's first album, originally released in 1992, will be reissued on El Records. In keeping with the Sarah tradition, the original album was an 8-track mini-album with no singles or previously / later released tracks, but it is re-released with addition of the band s first four singles and their B-sides as a 19-track album. All of this material has been unavailable, except for download, since around the time Sarah shut up shop in 1995. Blueboy were formed by lyricist and singer, Keith Girdler, and songwriter and guitarist, Paul Stewart in Reading in the early 1990s. Since meeting around a decade earlier, Paul and Keith had been in various bands together before Blueboy, and had sent previous demos to Sarah. However, it was the demo for Clearer, which was released in 1991 as their first single, which got them their deal. Whilst their initial releases were gentle and acoustic, they expanded into a full band, with bass, drums, keyboards and cello, and eventually including Harvey Williams on guitar. Their later albums will be reissued on EL Records, of which Keith and Paul were both huge fans, over the coming months. Our Price: £9.95
