Oval was co-run by Charlie Gillett, the renowned radio broadcaster and writer who contributes sleeve-notes to the package.

Direct Drive consisted of singer Derek Green's soulful vocals with Direct Drive (alongside Hardcastle, Mick Ward, Pete Quinton, Bob Williams and Bones).

First Light consisted of Hardcastle on all instruments.

Includes the in-demand Brit-Funk anthem ‘A.M.'.
