The Twelve Commandments of Dance
A classic slice of uplifting 80s Europop, the London Boys debut album "The Twelve Commandments Of Dance" is given a remastered Special Edition reissue. "The Twelve Commandments Of Dance" reached #2 in the UK, and features the huge Top 5 singles "Requiem" and "London Nights" plus subsequent hits "Harlem Desire" and "My Love". The London Boys were masterminded by German pop producer Ralf-Rene Maue, but a close association with Pete Waterman s Hit Factory resulted in tours alongside Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan and superb PWL 12 remixes of all four UK singles.

These sought-after full-length mixes feature exclusively on this Special Edition, issued together for the very first time. The extensive CD booklet includes full lyrics, additional photos and discography and brand new sleeve notes. The London Boys were Edem Ephraim and Dennis Fuller, who met at school in Greenwich before moving to Hamburg in 1981. The nickname they had been given by the locals became their stage name when they launched a pop career in 1986.

Over the next decade, they sold 4.5 million records worldwide, with major success across Europe and Japan. Tragically, Edem and Dennis died in a car crash in the Austrian Alps in 1996. "The Twelve Commandments Of Dance" follows successful Special Editions of classic PWL albums from Princess, Lonnie Gordon and Mandy Smith, and coincides with the release of Sinitta's "The Hits+ Collection" on Cherry Pop.

Mandy
Released 13/04/09. The very first album to be released on Pete Waterman's PWL label back in 1988, Mandy Smith's one and only album "Mandy" is given a re-mastered Special Edition reissue. This Special Edition features the singles "I Just Can't Wait", "Positive Reaction", "Boys And Girls" and "Victim Of Pleasure", with the addition of a subsequent release, Mandy's 1989 cover of the Human League classic "Don't You Want Me Baby?".

Exclusive bonus tracks have been selected direct from the PWL archives. Long thought to be mere rumour, an unreleased Hi-NRG cover of Twinkle's 1964 smash "Terry" and Mandy's original version of the Kylie Minogue hit "Got To Be Certain" feature together with rare mixes of all five singles. These include a bona-fide Balearic classic: the Cool And Breezy Jazz Version of "Mandy's Theme (I Just Can't Wait)".

A successful model, Mandy was only 16 when she launched her music career, but media interest was focused on her personal life and UK chart success proved elusive. However, she scored major hits internationally, notably across Europe and in Japan, and her album remains a favourite for many 80s pop devotees.

Princess
Released 13/04/09. Princess's classic 1986 debut album is given a long-overdue re-mastered Special Edition reissue. The album features Princess's number 7 debut smash "Say I'm Your Number One", and the subsequent hits "After The Love Has Gone", "I'll Keep On Loving You", "Tell Me Tomorrow" and "In The Heat Of A Passionate Moment".

Exclusive bonus tracks have been selected direct from the PWL archives, many making their first-ever appearance on CD. These include sought-after 12' remixes, the scarce soundtrack version of "Tell Me Tomorrow" from the movie "Knights & Emeralds" and the rare original demo of "Say I'm Your Number One".

Originally a backing vocalist, Desiree Heslop's session work with SAW led to the recording of the global smash, "Say I'm Your Number One", released under the stage name Princess. Although subsequent projects failed to match its success, this debut album is not only a crossover classic but also a sought-after collectors' item: scarce original CD copies have often changed hands at three-figure prices.

The Lover In Me
After being catapulted to fame by the BBC 1 series 'The Big Time' in 1980 and subsequently signing a record deal with EMI, Sheena Easton had undeniable success on both sides of the Atlantic. She scored hit after hit with songs such as ‘9 to 5', ‘Modern Girl and For Your Eyes Only', the title song for the James Bond movie of the same name. In 1981 Sheena won 'Best Female Artist' at the Rock & Pop awards as voted for by the British public, and a Grammy award in the US for 'Best New Artist'. Sheena's run of hits continued throughout the 80's and included the steamy ‘Strut'; The controversial Prince penned track ‘Sugar Walls'; The upbeat pop song ‘Telephone (‘Long Distance Love Affair'); and duets with Kenny Rogers (‘We've Got Tonight') and Prince (‘U Got The Look'). All of which were top ten hits in the US. Released in 1988 The Lover In Me was Sheena's eighth studio album and has slightly harder urban edge, recorded at a time when Sheena was projecting a much sexier image. The new RNB sound of the album was accepted both by critics & the public with open arms, especially in the States where the album quickly turned gold. Big names in the R&B genre like Babyface & L.A Reid took the reigns on producing most of the album. The project also saw Prince (Joey Coco) & Jellybean lend a helping hands. Prince wrote two tracks for the release, he sultry 101 and the funky ‘Cool Love', whilst Jellybean (who had previously remixed some of Madonna's early hits), played drums and produced the danceable album track ‘If It's Meant To Last', A great album, beautifully repackaged, with a diverse range of songs from an artist in the prime of her career. Produced by Baby Face and LA Reid, with contributions from Prince and Jellybean. Our Price: £9.95
