Love Tracks - Gloria Gaynor

Love Tracks
Grammy Award winner and Hall of Famer, GLORIA GAYNOR was born on the 7th of September 1949 in Newark, N.J. and sang as young girl in her school choir, mixed chorus and the her school’s girl glee club. While she knew she one day wanted to have a career in music, GLORIA GAYNOR still went to school with the aim of having something to fall back on and studied beauty and business courses.
In 1965 GLORIA GAYNOR released her first solo single titled She’ll Be Sorry with the B-Side Let Me Go Baby on Jocida Records. However, it wasn’t until the 1970’s that Gaynor began to taste real success with the release of her first two albums, Experience and Never Can Say Goodbye, (both available on BBR) that she began to stand out as a unique and recognizable force on the black music scene.
In 1978 GLORIA GAYNOR released her 6th studio album, "LOVE TRACKS” on Polydor Records, now fully remastered and repackaged by BBR!
"LOVE TRACKS” features some of the best musicians of the time including Paulinho Da Costa on percussion and Wah Wah Watson on guitar while production duties were left in the capable hands of Dino Fekaris.
"LOVE TRACKS” contains the million-unit selling chart topper, ‘I Will Survive’, originally a B-side to Gloria’s cover of ‘Substitute’. While ‘Substitute’ still obtained chart success it was ‘I Will Survive’, which quickly gained traction in the clubs, and as a result the record label deleted the 12” single and replaced the album version with the 12” version to boost album sales. Other notable tracks include the US Dance chart top 20 hit ‘Anybody Wanna Party’, which simultaneously climbed all the way to #16 on the US R&B Chart.
BBR is so very proud to announce the release of GLORIA GAYNOR – LOVE TRACKS. Lovingly remastered, this CD comes complete with extensive liner notes including interviews and added bonus content making this BBR Remaster a must have item for all Disco, Soul, Funk and R&B fans out there!

The Three Degrees-Expanded Edition
The Three Degrees' Philadelphia International Records debut made quite an impact upon it's release in 1974.

Having been R&B hit makers for years, the group were no strangers to the American Soul Chart but the pairing of the group with Philadelphia's Gamble & Huff took them to an iconic level of appreciation. The top 20 album spawned the now classic UK #1 When Will I See You Again and the top 20 hit Year Of Decision. Also featured was their Philly debut single Dirty Ol' Man which topped the charts in the Netherlands, staving off the threat of Demis Roussos in the process!

The Story So Far
Released 27/11/08. The Mo-dettes were NEVER a Mod band can we just clear that up? Instead, they were formed as part of the punk explosion, with former members having been part of the London squat community, numbering Joe Strummer and Sid Vicious among their housemates. Indeed, the genesis of the band came about while drummer June Miles-Kingston and guitarist Kate Corris were assisting Malcolm McLaren and Julien Temple on the set of The Great Rock ’n’ Roll Swindle. All this and more is explored in the accompanying booklet, in which both Kate and June talk at length about their time with the Mo-dettes. So we get the inside story on encountering rednecks in the American south, facing equally patronising attitudes in the studio and finally, what to do when your roadie wants to date your singer. The band also featured Jane Crockford on bass famous for the punk cannibalism incident when she bit the ear of Shane McGowan at a Clash gig and Swiss singer Ramona. Our Price: £9.95

Cerrone 3 ~ Supernature
07/11/11. As a producer of European Disco music, the influence of JEAN-MARC CERRONE is second perhaps only to that of GIORGIO MORODER. Beginning as a drummer in the late 1960s, CERRONE would go on to sell over 30 million albums in a decades-spanning, internationallysuccessful career.

The 1977 release of SUPERNATURE saw Cerrone blaze a trail into electronic disco, inspired by Moroder swork with DONNA SUMMER, and resulting in the all-time classic title track, a UK top ten hit.

The slow-burning classic track GIVE ME LOVE has also proved an enduring favourite and in recent years has reached a new audience through a BOB SINCLAR remix. SUPERNATURAL continued Cerrone's American success, with the whole album remaining at #1 on the Billboard Disco chart for four weeks, aswell as reaching #56 R&B and #120 Pop and charting in the UK. BBR is proud to present SUPERNATURE in its full original form, complete with extensive liner notes featuring a brand new interview with Marc Cerrone
