THE GAP BAND enjoyed huge success throughout the 70s and 80s with their unique sound and contribution to the Funk scene. Formed in 1967 in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brothers Charlie, Ronnie and Robert Wilson first went by the name Greenwood, Archer and Pine Street Band later shortening the name to THE GAP BAND in 1973. LA Producer, Lonnie Simmons, signed them to his label, Total Experience Records, setting in motion what would be the start of a long and prosperous relationship between THE GAP BAND and Simmons.
Notable hits include their top ten hit Shake, the breakthrough single from The Gap Band II, I Don't Believe You Want To Get Up And Dance (Oops!) and the number one R&B hit Early In The Morning taken from their 1982 #1 R&B album The Gap Band IV. Their 1985 offering THE GAP BAND VI, an R&B #1 album, spawned the hits Beep A Freak (R&B #2), I Found My Baby (R&B #8) and Disrespect which earned a Top 20 R&B position.
1986 brought the release of THE GAP BAND VII and with it the band scored another hit R&B album peaking at #6. The first single was the opening track DESIRE, which was followed by the stunning R&B ballad GOING IN CIRCLES which climbed all the way to #2 on the Billboard R&B charts. The final single saw the band back on their trademark groove with the super-catchy funk workout, AUTOMATIC BRAIN, while not gaining the acclaim that it deserved at the time, Automatic Brain has gone on to be revered by Gap Band fans everywhere.
THE GAP BAND VII also provided classic Gap Band sonics on the tracks ‘Ooh, What A Feeling’, ‘Li’l Red Funkin’ Hood’ and ‘Bumpin’ Gum People’.

Is the expanded reissue of the debut breakthrough album by Brother Beyond, originally a top 10 release in 1988.This 16 track collection features the 12 tracks of the original CD version plus four essential bonus tracks. The album was originally released in October 1988 and peaked at number 9 in the UK album charts. The album includes production and remix work by Don Was, Stock Aitken & Waterman, Phil Harding and Ian Curnow, Richard James Burgess and Michael Brauer.This collection features various versions of their 4 biggest hits including their first top 10 single The Harder I Try (album & 12") #2, He Ain't No Competition (album & 12") #6, Be My Twin (album and 12") #14 and Can You Keep A Secret (album) #22.The bonus tracks includes the following 12" mixes The Harder I Try - Hardest Mix, He Ain't No Competition - Space Hopper Mix, Be My Twin - US 12" Vocal Mix and I Should Have Lied - Extended Version; all appearing on CD for the first time.The CD booklet will include comprehensive sleeve notes and a full UK singles discography featuring many of the original single sleeves.Brother Beyond were formed by David and Eg White, Nathan released 12 singles and 2 albums over their five years on the label. Patti Labelle- Expanded Edition

With a career spanning more than 4 decades and numerous appearances in the charts and the music award circuit, Grammy Hall Of Fame inductee, Patti LaBelle sealed her fate as one of the great American Divas.

Patti LaBelle started singing at church and later formed Patti Labelle and the Bluebelles, later know as LaBelle. Patti and her group enjoyed many chart hits during their 15 years together including their number one, gold selling single Lady Marmalade. 1977 brought the split of LaBelle and with that Patti embarked on her solo career with Epic Records. Her self-titled, debut solo album, produced by the legendary David Rubinson, soared to #16 in the R&B charts and gained a top 100 spot in the pop charts reaching #62.

Patti LaBelle’s incredible vocal talent is easily evident on the track You Are My Friend, Cowritten by Patti and dedicated to her son, a song which she still performs to this day and is a firm fan favourite. Patti Labelle also features her top 40 R&B single, the string-laden upbeat, Joy To Have Your Love and the funk guitar driven cover of, Funky Music (Sho Nuff Turn’s Me On).

It's Alright With Me- Expanded Edition

The follow-up single GET LOOSE, GET FUNKY gave the band another Top Twenty R&B hit, reaching #15.
