THE POINTER SISTERS remain one of the most successful female groups the music industry has seen with 13 top 20 singles and 8 top 40 albums shared between the US and UK pop charts. In 1985 the Pointer Sisters released CONTACT, the first of 3 albums on RCA after their incredibly successful period with Planet Records. CONTACT was the follow up to the triple platinum selling album, Break Out, and was once again produced by Richard Perry. CONTACT quickly attained platinum selling status in the US upon its release. The number one dance hit, DARE ME, written by David Innis and Sam Lorber, achieved #6 R&B and #11 Pop positions and climbed to #17 on the UK Pop charts. More recently the track became the basis for the massive new millennium dance hits Stupidisco (Junior Jack) and Make Your Move (Dave Armstrong). Contact also features the #25 R&B hit ballad FREEDOM and the #15 Dance hit, Twist My Arm written by Andy Goldmark and Bruce Roberts. Contact also features writing contributions by future eighties hit makers Mr. Mister on Back In My Arms, Burn Down The Night and Hey You with additional writing from Robbie Nevil who attained major chart success in his own right with C’est La Vie the following year.

Tavares charted many Soul and Disco classics on the Capitol label in the seventies with hits such as Check It Out, She's Gone, It Only Takes A Minute, Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel, Don't Take Away the Music, Who dunnit and More Than A Woman. New Directions was their confident 1982 debut on RCA Records.

The album became their longest running album on the US R&B chart at an impressive 30 weeks.  Singles include the timeless ballad A Penny For Your Thoughts which returned them to the US Pop Top 40 for the first time since 1978 as well as becoming an international hit.

The further R&B hit and club classic Got To Find My Way Back To You is also featured here in its original and 12" Remix form. Features four bonus tracks and interviews with the Tavares family

Released on 20/09/10. A reissue of the 1987 Euro Pop/Dance classic Dedicated To The Moon by Italian pop diva Ivana Spagna. This 16 track CD, features the 10 tracks of the original album plus 6 excellent bonus tracks. This collection features the smash hit Call Me (UK#2), and the UK singles Easy Lady and Every Girl And Boy.

The 6 bonus tracks include the Special Viva Mix of Call Me, the extended version of Easy Lady, 7" version and Special Bang Bang Remix of Every Girl And Boy and the two b/sides Jealousy and Don't Call It Love. A comprehensive booklet featuring sleeve notes and a full UK discography featuring many of their sleeves.

Hailing from Italy, Ivana Spagna with her brother Theo and respected Italian producer Larry Pignagoli penned a succession of hit singles across Europe during the mid to late 80's. The feature of this reissue Dedicated To The Moon was Spagna's debut album, released in 1987. After a spell of living in California, Spagna returned to Europe in 1993 and continued her successful career across mainland Europe. Her combined album and single sales are reputedly in excess of 10 million units to date.

The Pointer Sisters were one of the most successful female groups the music industry has seen with 18 Top 20 hit singles and 10 top 40 albums shared between the US Pop and R&B charts. In 1982 the Grammy award-winning sisters released the Richard Perry produced, SO EXCITED!, on Planet Records. The Sisters were backed by members of the band Toto on the album.

SO EXCITED! features such classics as the top 20 hit, American Music and the hugely popular title track, SO EXCITED!, written by Anita, June and Ruth Pointer with the album’s Associate  Producer Trevor Lawrence. SO EXCITED! reached the Billboard Top 30 but later went on to become the group’s most recognizable Top Ten hit when a remix featured on the triple platinum selling follow up album Break Out.

Also included are the Dance hit If You Wanna Get Back Your Lady and the group‘s popular rendition of Prince‘s I Feel For You which would became a huge hit for Chaka Khan two years later.

Released on 15/02/10. The original Queen of Disco's first album makes it's international CD debut this February as the first release on new label Big Break Records. Never Can Say Goodbye features the genre-defining hits singles Honey Bee , Never Can Say Goodbye and Reach Out I'll Be There as well as additional UK hit All I Need Is Your Sweet Loving .
