Madhouse: Expanded Edition
•    SILVER CONVENTION started life in Munich in 1974 as Silver Bird Convention when German song writing and producing partners Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay released the single ‘Save Me’ on Jupiter Records, enlisting three session singers to take care of the minimal vocal refrain on the track. With the "Bird” soon dropped from the acts name ‘Save Me’ became an international Disco hit heralding the start of continued success throughout the 70's and is featured on "Silver Convention” (BBRCD0266). The title track from their second album "Get Up And Boogie,” (CDBBR0275) well known as the groups most famous track, took them back to the top end of the charts, as well as being a huge hit in the clubs. "Get Up And Boogie” confirmed the group’s reputation for very catchy, accessible dance floor music that was at the forefront of the Euro-disco movement.

•    MADHOUSE (R&B #47/Pop #65), the groups third album, was released in 1976, hot on the heels of the success from "Get Up And Boogie.” Kunze and Levay emphasized the funkier elements in the group's Euro-disco sound on MADHOUSE. There are still plenty of the trademark swirling strings and the production is still very slick and smooth but there is no question, with tracks like "Madhouse,” "Plastic People” and "I'm Not A Slot Machine” that this album is the funkiest offered by Silver Convention and pushed the boundaries of their Euro-disco sound.

•    Other standout tracks on this album are the US single "Dancing In The Aisle” (R&B #80/Pop #102), the German single "Fancy Party,” and the Northern Soul-esque UK single "Everybody's Talking 'Bout Love," unsurprisingly a UK hit peaking at #25.

•    BBR is very proud to present MADHOUSE, expertly remastered and complete with extensive liner notes and bonus tracks. Essential listening for all Funk, Disco, Dance and Pop fans.

NB: This title is released on October 27, 2014 and will not be dispatched until this date.

Love For What It Is: Expanded Edition
•    Anita Pointer was born in 1948 in California, the second eldest sister of the hugely successful Pointer Sisters. She joined her sisters Bonnie and June in 1969, officially forming The Pointer Sisters. During the group's career, many of their hits featured lead vocals by Anita. This list included their first hit single, a cover of Allen Toussaint's 'Yes We Can Can' in 1973. Anita co-wrote and sung lead on both 'Fairytale' (which earned her a Grammy for best country single by a duo or group in 1975) and 'How Long (Betcha Got A Chick On The Side)' which gave the group a #1 Billboard soul hit that same year. She also sang lead on the group's biggest American pop hits, 'Fire' and 'Slow Hand' and was the primary writer of their massive international signature hit, 'I'm So Excited.'

•    After the explosive success The Pointer Sisters enjoyed in the mid-eighties with hits like 'Automatic', 'Jump (For My Love)', and 'Dare Me', she decided to take a short break from the group and work on her first solo album. The resulting LP LOVE FOR WHAT IT IS was released in 1987. The album was produced by R&B hit-maker Preston Glass and features two R&B hit singles in the form of the Michael and Brenda Sutton penned 'Overnight Success' as well as 'More Than A Memory'. The former featured a 12" Dance Mix by Francois K and the latter included one by Timmy Regisford. Those remixes make their CD debut here on the album’s first expanded remaster. Other highlights include 'Love Me Like You Do', which made an impact with UK soul fans, the Brenda Russell co-penned 'Beware Of What You Want' and 'The Pledge', a duet with Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire.

•    Newly remastered and released in a deluxe Super Jewel case with bonus tracks and a brand new interview with Anita Pointer, LOVE FOR WHAT IT IS is a must for all Eighties Soul, Dance and Pop fans out there!

The Bad And Lowdown World Of... (3 Disc Deluxe Edition)
•    The Kane Gang emerged from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne’s successful Kitchenware stable in the early 1980s, with a distinctive, gritty brand of lyrically acerbic, blue-eyed soul/funk.

•    Released in early 1985, debut album THE BAD & LOWDOWN WORLD OF THE KANE GANG reached No. 21 in the album charts and has been unavailable on CD for well over a decade.

•    The album boasted several hit singles: ‘Small Town Creed’ (No. 60), ‘Closest Thing To Heaven’ (No. 12), a cover of the Staple Singers’ ‘Respect Yourself’ (No. 21) and ‘Gun Law’ (No. 53).

•    Compiled and collated by founder members Dave Brewis, Martin Brammer and Paul Woods, THE BAD & LOWDOWN WORLD OF THE KANE GANG is now treated to a 3-CD deluxe edition.

•    The package also boasts a baker’s dozen of previously unheard Kane Gang demos, recorded during and after the album sessions (and prior to their second album).

•    Disc 3 is given over to an exclusive live concert from Glasgow Strathclyde University 17/11/84, only two tracks from which were originally released as B-sides.
