Every A&B side ever released by Manchester's leading exponents of early 80's Street Punk, most of which have never appeared on CD before. Blitz were rarely out of the Indie top 5 between 1981-83 with their 45's for No Future Records and this collection shows their transition from Hard-core Punk through to innovative guitar synth terrorists.
A 20 track round up of Punk legends Blitz including all five of their independant chart top 5 hits and several tracks from their debut album " Voice of a generation" which reached number 27 in the UK national chart. This album also features the track " Someone's gonna die" which has recently been covered by US Punk heroes, Rancid.
When first released in 1982 this LP shot to No. 27 in the UK Top 50 establishing Blitz as leaders of the Third Wave Of Punk. Five bonus cuts including Indie Chart toppers 'Someone's Gonna Die' and 'Never Surrender', have been added to give an impressive 22 cuts of Punk at its purest and most ferocious.
